Illinois has been known for really good drinking water. Some communities have won national awards for its drinking water, including Champaign, Dieterich, Moline and Danville.

But there's also instances where the tap water might not be the best option for clean drinking water. This could be for a variety of reasons --- too much of a certain chemical or too much of a certain element, for example.

A scientist with an environmental organization offers deeper insight into the state's drinking water --- and explains how the EWG's Tap Water Database can help people find information about the drinking water in their area.
