President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law on Friday afternoon during a Fourth of July ceremony at the White House. Republicans say the legislation represents the most significant domestic policy achievement of his second term, making his 2017 tax cuts permanent while cutting over $1 trillion from federal safety net programs. It also gives ICE — Immigration and Customs Enforcement — by far the biggest budget in federal law enforcement.
