Election Day is less than a week away. All 17 seats in the Illinois congressional district are up for grabs.  Today, we’re going to talk about two longshot candidates. These men are running despite being in districts that heavily favor their incumbent opponents.

Paul Lange is running as a Democratic candidate in Illinois' 15th Congressional District, which spans much of the central part of the state. His opponent in that race is Republican incumbent Mary Miller. She hasn't accepted our multiple requests for an interview. Miller has not debated in the current election cycle.

We also heard from Thomas Lynch. He is the Republican challenger in Illinois' 2nd Congressional District. The Democratic incumbent Robin Kelly is expected to win that race.
