Winter Storm Warning for central Illinois: Saturday noon-Sunday 9pm; Bitter cold and heavy snow expected

Winter storm conditions will peak during the day on Sunday, with total snow accumulation of four to eight inches expected across Champaign County. Additionally, northeast winds gusting 20 to 25 miles per hour will lead to blowing snow, reduced visibility, and hazardous travel in open rural areas through Sunday night.
