(Tchaikovsky) Soprano Anna Netrebko takes on another Tchaikovsky heroine in an enchanting fairy tale. She stars as the beautiful blind girl who experiences love for the first time.“Iolanta” tells the story of a princess, blind from birth, who is raised in isolation and kept unaware of her condition at her father’s request. Valery Gergiev conducts wtih Beczala (Vaudemont), Markov (Robert), and the Met Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
