Billy May (1080)
Billy May was one of the most in-demand arrangers of the era working with popular music’s biggest stars. He worked on iconic recordings for the likes of Frank Sinatra, Keely Smith, Nat King Cole, Stan Freberg, and Mel Tormé, just to name a few. He was the master of all sorts of styles but excelled at adding touches of joy and playfulness to the music he helped make. We spotlight him this time as part of our Great Arrangers series.
