This week, the spotlight is on songwriter Jimmy Van Heusen. During Van Heusen’s Hollywood career, he was nominated 14 times for an Oscar for Best Song, taking home four trophies total. And along the way, he would write a score of songs that would become American Songbook Standards, and specifically, classics for Frank Sinatra and other members of The Rat Pack. We’ll hear from members of the Rat Pack, of course, but also Blossom Dearie, Nancy Wilson, and many more.
