This time on the program, we’re all about that big brass sound and the many recordings of it made during the hi-fi era. Large orchestra and ensembles were still the norm when it came to music of this time, although popular music and jazz were shifting into smaller combos. But large groups were still a wonderful holdover from the Big Band Era. And it was that big and bright brass sound that fueled the swinging vibe the era was known for. This week, we have plenty of great horn-heavy numbers from the like of Ray Anthony, Doc Severinsen, Herb Alpert, and many more.
