Andre Previn
Andre Previn died this past February, at the age of 89. Previn had a wide-ranging career as composer of film music, player of jazz music, conductor of major symphonic orchestras, and composer of concertos and operas. In classical music, Previn made many recordings of his favorite wing of the repertory, late 19th and early 20th century music. On this week's Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will hear some of his memorable recordings.
