Artur Schnabel
The famous pianist Artur Schnabel was also a renowned teacher. Schnabel's insistence on coming to the musical core of a composition, rather than achieving technical display, was passed on to many students.
On this week's Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will hear not only from the master himself, but also from such famous pupils as Leon Fleischer and Claude Frank, at a memorial concert for their famous teacher.
