Classics of the Phonograph: Mahler & The Greats

Gustav Mahler said, "My time will come," and by the 1960s his time had indeed come! Everyone seemed to be recording Mahler. By now there are over thirty complete series of Mahler Symphonies, and more recordings are being made. On Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11, we will hear Mahler recordings by Leonard Bernstein, John Barbirolli and Georg Solti, among others.
