Frederick Fennell

Frederick Fennell, with the Eastman Wind Ensemble, is famous for raising the status of the wind band to that of a symphonic ensemble. In his many recordings for Mercury Records, he greatly extended the repertory for wind ensembles. On Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM., we will sample some of Fennell's famous recordings.
