Gustav  Mahler

In the 1950s, the reputation of Gustav  Mahler was on the upswing. Conductors such as Dimitri Mitropoulos, Hermann Scherchen, and Leopold Stokowski  were performing and recording Mahler's symphonies  more often. On Saturday, October 4th, at 11 AM, Classics of the Phonograph will offer some samples of their work on Illinois Classical.
