How old is a recording? In these days, most compact discs come with information about when and where a recording took place. But it was not always so. For decades, record companies did not date their products, and at times it seemed as if they wanted to suppress that information. But some basic developments in recording technology have always given some overall indications of date. On Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, these problems will be further discussed.
