As the year 2017 comes to an end, our program Classics of the Phonograph—Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM—will look at the careers of conductors who have passed away this year. Among them were the French maestro George Pretre, the Polish conductor Stanislaw Skrowaczaewski, and the English conductor Sir Jeffrey Tate.
