Strange Recordings: 8 Tracks

The first method of playing your favorite music in your own car was the 8-track tape. Although "8-track" is now a sure fire joke line, it was in the 1960s and 1970s one of the most popular means of reproducing music. With all its faults, such oddly designed devices could deliver very convincing performances.
On this week's Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will travel down memory lane and hear some 8-track music.
