During the 19th century, the top violin concertos were composed by such composers as Beethoven, Brahms and Tchaikovsky. But at the same time, fine violin concertos also came from the pen of such less known composer/violinists as Henri Vieutemps and Henryk Wieniawski. As early as the 1930s they were recorded by the great violinist Jascha Heifetz. On Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will hear him playing some of this music.
