The Los Angeles Philharmonic Over the Decades
The Los Angeles Philharmonic was founded in 1919, and in its near century of existence it has climbed to the position of one of America's greatest orchestras. Along the way, it has been led by famous conductors: Otto Klemperer, Zubin Mehta, Carlo Maria Giulini, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and presently by super star Gustavo Dudamel.
On this week's Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will hear some of their recordings, on FM 90.9.
