A "Birthday" Ode", "Funeral Sentences" and other 'early music' from the Summer 2016 Festival in Herne, Germany.

From Herne, Germany, music by Handel and others of the era, followed by Sibelius' "5th SYmphony" frmo Chicago, as well as concerts frmo Pittsburgh, New York City (two of them) and Charleston SC.

There will likely be quite a contrast between the string quartets written by Beethoven and Nielsen that you'll hear tonight. Also music by Strauss and Tchaikovsky.

Including the Chichester Psalms and the 3rd Symphony.

Program music is defined as music that (usually) has a title given by the composer, written to conjure , for example, an event "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" or place "El Salon meixco", to tell a story, like "Also Sprach Zarathustra" or some other "extra-musical" purpose.

Music compositions in minor keys anecdotally seem to have a lot more emotional content than major keys; it's not scientifically proven, at least not yet?

That would be "Beethoven's "Emperor" Piano Concerto and Berlioz' "Symphonie fantastique".
