Beethoven’s 9th Symphony featured on tonight’s “New York Philharmonic This Week” broadcast

Did you know Friedrich Schiller's poem "Ode to Joy" served as the inspiration for Beethoven's 9th Symphony? Beethoven had been meaning to put the poem to music since his youth.  Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Yo-Yo Ma is the soloist in Dvorak’s “Cello Concerto”. Also on the program Beethoven’s 9th Symphony featuring the NY Choral Artists and American Boychoir.
