Leo Brouwer: A Living Master

Leo Brouwer, now in the 9th decade of his life, is one of the few great living masters of classical

music. Since the late 1950’s, he has single handedly changed the history of the guitar and he

continues producing gorgeous music for the instrument as well as chamber and symphonic

music. We will hear his Guitar Concerto No. 9 and his work for guitar duo and orchestra The

Book of Signs.
