Tonight at 7:00 on the "The Evening Concert" on WILL-FM we present a special program on Jerome Moross [myrhh-ROSS] American composer of film scores, Broadway musicals, ballets, and a highly original opera. You’ll hear excerpts from “The Big Country” and other films, “The Golden Apple” and other musicals, and others.

A two hour centennial documentary on the life, career and music of the quintessentially American composer (born Aug 1, 1913) who not only composed the scores for legendary films such as The Big Country and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and famous musicals like The Golden Apple and Gentlemen Be Seated, but also wrote innovative ballets, chamber and orchestral music, and a highly original opera
