Thursday December 25: Holiday Specials

“Messiah” from Washington National Cathedral
The special is culled from the Cathedral’s annual Messiah performances during the first weekend of December that feature the finest international soloists for this very high-quality, popular Christmas broadcast.

A Baroque Christmas in the New World

This special brings us music from 17th- and 18th-century Mexico, Peru and Bolivia, including a cantata & 3 works by Zumaya, most of which comes from the only surviving manuscript in full-score in Zumaya's own hand.
