Agricola: Strange or Sublime?
Why not both? Alexander Agricola's music has been called crazy, dark, hyperactive, and a host of other things. We'll sample works by this 15th century master, including his Missa In Myne Zyn, the majestic hymn Ave Maris Stella, and secular instrumental pieces like the enigmatically titled Cecus non judicat de coloribus (the blind man cannot distinguish colors). Our performers include Ensemble Leones, Capilla Flamenca, and Encantar.
Alexander Agricola: Pater meus Agricola est; Fortuna Desperata a 6. Ensemble Leones
