Arcadelt the Visionary
Jacques Arcadelt enjoyed a glittering career serving the Medicis, the pope, and French royalty. His music was depicted in Caravaggio's famous painting The Lute Player, yet his music isn't as well known today as it deserves to be. We'll hear motets, madrigals, and chansons from a three-disc set from Outhere Music, performed by the Chamber Choir of Namur, Capella Mediterranea, and Doulce Memoire.
