Chamber music and lute songs on the “Evening Concert”...

 

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear chamber music by Sergei Prokofiev, Paul Hindemith, Charles Wuorinen and Brett Dean on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear lute songs by John Dowland and others on “Early Music Now”.

This program features intimate settings for one voice plus one stringed instrument, including Spanish songs performed by Maria Cristina Kiehr, soprano, and Jacob Heringman, vihuela. We'll also hear Mariana Flores and Hopkinson Smith perform Dowland, from a recent release on the Naïve label.
