The Dranoff International 2 Piano Competition - 176 Keys to The World (Ep.3)

 

Tonight at 7:00 on the "The Evening Concert" on WILL-FM it’s Brahms’ “Haydn Variations” on the Dranoff International Two-Piano Competition. Also on the program Jerome Moross’ “The Last Judgement” in a special two piano arrangement played by Duo-Impulse, Lutoslawski’s “Paganini Variations” played by Duo Boheme and Victor Babin’s  Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra.

The 2013 competition follows the eight top professional semifinalist piano teams from seven countries: Duo Yamamoto (Japan), Duo Yoo & Kim (South Korea), Duo ImPuls (Germany); Duo Ping & Ting (Hong Kong); Lavrova/Primakov Duo (Russia); Duo Bohemes (France/Romania); Adventure Piano Duo (Russia); Julia Getallo & Alexander Andreev Duo (Russia)
