Mitsuko Uchida plays Mozart and Schubert in Chicago on the “Evening Concert”

 

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Mitsuko Uchida plays and conducts Mozart’s “19th Piano Concerto” and she’s the featured pianist in Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet”.  Also on the program, Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”.

Schubert:  Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667 “The Trout” (Robert Chen, violin; Charles Pikler, viola; John Sharp, cello; Alexander Hanna, bass; Mitsuko Uchida, piano) [fyi: It's called the "Trout" Quintet because the Theme and Variations movement uses a Schubert song of that same title].
