Less-often-heard works of interest on tonight’s “Evening Concert”

 

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the San Francisco Symphony with another eclectic program: Ives’ “The Unanswered Question”, Antheil’s “A Jazz Symphony”, and Lou Harrison’s “Selections from the ‘Suite for Violin and Gamelan’”. Also on the program Michael Tilson Thomas’ “Four Preludes on ‘Playthings of the Wind’”.
