Interview with Neil Gaiman
If you haven't read the fiction of Neil Gaiman you truly should. Once highly regarded by fans of the graphic novel, Gaiman expanded into a genre that's hard to pin down: elements of horror, magical realism, and comedy blended into a style that can only be described as Neil Gaiman. Think Edgar Allen Poe meets Douglas Adams, and you're close. Gaiman's books include American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens (with Terry Prachett), Stardust, Coraline, and Anansi Boys among others. For this Focus 580 program from 2002 hosted by David Inge, Gaiman's publicist somehow forgot to tell him about the interview (which was by telephone). But it turned out that Neil Gaiman is not only an amazing writer but a very good sport, and without missing a beat he jumped into the interview with both feet.
