Katherine

My name is Katherine Floess. I am a senior, and I am one of the student producers of the Disability Project. I first began working as an intern for the Oral History Project four years ago. Along with working on this project, I enjoy playing clarinet and piano, and singing. And, most of all, I love to read.

I love working on the Oral History Project because I enjoy hearing people’s stories; the best part of a radio documentary is that you not only learn someone’s story, but you hear their voice, which makes it all the more special. I especially enjoy being a student producer, because I was able to help conceptualize a project and help direct its progression. I love seeing the steps behind the finished project; how we began with fifteen interviews, all from different people, and will create, in the end, one cohesive story.
