Profile, Kim Anderson

My name is Ms. Anderson and I am involved in the Youth Media Workshop at Jefferson because I am interested in encouraging students to investigate local history and engage with people from different generations.  I also want to challenge the girls in YMW to think critically, ask questions, and realize they each have a story to tell.

I want you to know the following about me:  
I'm a librarian at Jefferson Middle School.  I love to stay busy, so when I'm not at school I'm reading, doing yoga, going for walks, or working in my garden.  Someday I want to be an artist.

By the end of this project I hope to be able to say that I helped link our students to local history and made them passionate about investigating the stories around them.  .
