What is Dodd-Frank? (Rebroadcast)

 

What is Dodd-Frank?  One answer is that it is a federal statute that is part of U.S. financial regulation.  Its full name is the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.  But that doesn’t tell the whole story.  This radio commentary considers Dodd-Frank - its origins, its scope and what calls to dismantle the statute might mean.
