Traditional Irish Music in Urbana this weekend

The month of March sees all manner of Irish music and dancing in many communities, and our listening area will offer plenty of both. In Urbana this weekend, Irish flute and whistle player Laurence Nugent will join singer Tim O’Sullivan on Friday, and the Nashville Ceili Band will play on Saturday. On the Wednesday edition of “Live and Local,” I’ll welcome Jake Schumacher, who organizes Champaign’s own weekly Irish session, for a look at these fine musicians.
