Prof. Bo Lawergren and harpist Tomoko Sugawara; 2012 DoCha Festival

The Eurasian angular harp-or kugo, as it's known in Japan-first arose in Mesopotamia around 1900 BC. Prof. Bo Lawergren and harpist Tomoko Sugawara will give a MillerComm lecture-demonstration of the instrument at the University of Illinois on Tuesday, and they'll join me live on the Tuesday edition of "Live and Local." We'll also have a preview of the final concert of the 2012 DoCha Festival in Champaign.
