Rep. Davis On Trump’s Charlottesville Comments, Help For Champaign Manufacturer

During a visit to a manufacturing plant in Champaign Monday, Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis says he was satisfied with President Trump’s original comments about the race-fueled violence that occurred Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia. But Davis says he was glad the president made an additional statement on Monday specifically condemning the KKK, neo-Nazis and white supremacist groups.

Several small cities in southern Illinois are preparing for visitors to come and see a total solar eclipse on Aug. 21. This will be the first in the mainland U.S. in almost four decades.
