The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld one lower court decision Wednesday, limiting what NCAA athletes can receive while playing sports, but the judges also threw out a decision that would have allowed them up to an additional $5,000 compensation a year, one that a U of I professor of labor calls substantial for the NCAA.
