Crisis Response Planning Committee Seeks Public Input

Champaign County's Crisis Response Planning Committee hosts the first of two public dialogue sessions Tuesday night at the Champaign Public Library.  Illinois Public Media's Brian Moline spoke with the committee's facilitator, Claudia Lennhoff, about the committee's work and goals.

Lennhoff says the committee's goal is to improve county law enforcement's interactions with people with mental illness and substance use issues.

The committee is funded with a two-year federal grant from the US Department of Justice.  Tuesday's meeting starts at 6:00pm in Robeson Rooms A & B at the Champaign Public Library.  The committee will host a second meeting on August 24 at the same time and location.
