Danville Woman’s Death Being Handled As Homicide

The Vermilion County Coroner’s office is investigating the shooting death of a Danville woman. 

Investigators are treating the death of 40-year old Jamie Sternberger as a homicide.

The county sheriff’s department was called to a residence on Cemetery Road south of Danville around 9 p.m. Sunday, where the woman’s body was found. 

No other details have been released.
