John Wilkin just completed his first week as interim provost on the University of Illinois Urbana campus. Wilkin had been serving as Dean of Libraries and University Librarian on the Urbana campus. He takes over for Ed Feser, who starts Tuesday as the provost at Oregon State University.
Illinois Public Media’s Brian Moline spoke with Wilkin in his office on issues ranging from the budget, to free speech, but started by asking him how he’s settling in to his new position as interim provost.
William Mischo is serving as Acting Dean of Libraries and University Librarian while Wilkin serves as provost.
