July Home Sales Down From Last Year In Champaign County
Sales of existing homes in Champaign County were down in July compared to the same month a year ago.
The Champaign County Association of Realtors reports 305 homes were sold last month, down about 5.27% from July of 2013. However, July home sales in the Champaign/Savoy region were up 3.20% from last year ---- and home sales in the west region of the county that includes Mahomet were up about 22.22%.
Year-to-date home sales in Champaign County remain higher than the same period a year ago. 1,601 homes have been sold this year through July, compared to 1,561 sold during the same period of 2013. That's an improvement of 2.56%.
And the July median home sale price for both houses and condos is up 5.93% from a year ago, at $148,500.
