Premier League Basketball Starts Up In Danville

Professional basketball is coming to Danville.  The Danville Riverhawks announced their plans in June.  And the franchise recently said former Continental Basketball League player and Danville native Kristopher Bell will be this team’s first coach.

Illinois Public Media's Jeff Bossert spoke with the local native, and Minority Veterans Program Co-chair at Danville VA Hospital, about this new challenge.  He’s confident this venture will be a success, based on that of the Dustbowl Basketball Tournament, a competition of collegiate players that started there 41 years ago.
