Two Mental Health Providers Announce Merger Talks

Two mental health providers hope to join forces.

Prairie Center and Rockford-based Rosecrance, Inc., will begin discussions about merging behavioral health services.

If all goes according to plan, the merger could happen January first but, Rosecrance President and CEO, Philip Eaton, stressed both Prairie Center and Rosecrance are still in preliminary talks.

Eaton added that the merger is designed to enhance services in the area.

“The same quality care that they’ve received from Prairie Center will continue, hopefully to be expanded and improved with access to mental health services as well," Eaton said.

In a news release, Prairie CEO Gail Raney says Rosecrance will be a strong partner that is committed to a similar missions and values.
