This month, we introduce you to Bloomington artist Herb Eaton, learn about the importance of the Ohio River Valley and the “Illinois Country” during the American Revolution, and singer Charity Davis drops by the Prairie Fire studio for a special holiday performance.

Meet Bloomington artist Herb Eaton this month on Prairie Fire. Described as a "Maker of Things," Eaton paints, sketches, and sculpts scenes emblematic of the Illinois Prairie and surrounding landscape, often with a storytelling theme. Eaton shares his artistic beginnings, new musings, and what makes Bloomington the perfect place to be an artist.

Illinois and the American Revolution
Learn about the significant role the Ohio River Valley and present-day Illinois played in the lead-up to the American Revolution. We will also introduce you to George Rogers Clark, who would lead the "Illinois Campaign", which would prove to be a significant victory for the Colonies.

Charity Davis Performs in the Prairie Fire Studio
Vocalist Charity Davis joins us in the studio to perform a holiday classic, “Mary Did You Know”, and she brings us her own version of our “Prairie Fire” theme song.
