On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday night at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, a look back to 2013, the centennial year of British composer Benjamin Britten.
In celebration, the Illinois Symphony performs music by British composers. This concert features the orchestra in Gerald Finzi’s Romance; tenor William Burden and ISO’s principal horn player Stephen Hanrahan perform Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings; and the concert closes with Edward Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro.
