On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9: The Illinois Symphony Orchestra delivers bravura performances of concert hall spectaculars in this concert that closed the 2017 season. Dvorak’s jubilant Carnival Overture will be paired with Joaquin Rodrigo’s ever popular “Concierto de Aranjuez” with Grammy-Award winning guitarist Jason Vieaux in the first half. The concert concludes with Hector Berlioz’s epic self-portrait of his passion for a beautiful woman in the fantastic “Symphonie Fantastique.”
