On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, join the Champaign-Urbana Symphony in this program of the late Romantic music of Mahler and Strauss. Strauss’ sumptuous Four Last Songs will feature Metropolitan Opera star Amanda Majeski. Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 5 is a dramatic journey, from its dark opening fanfare to the famous Adagietto and the resounding conclusion.
