On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday night at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, an exciting offering of acclaimed masterworks and engaging discoveries will have you on the edge of your seat. Our Music Alive Composer-in-Residence Stacy Garrop will introduce three compelling portraits from her Mythology Symphony. Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto is perhaps the most perfect ever composed. The Champaign-Urbana Symphony will be joined by Stefan Milenkovich, one of the greatest violinists of his generation. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, which is always thrilling to hear in live performance.
