On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday night at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, Sinfonia da Camera helps us celebrate the birthday and enduring legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven in a concert featuring his own works and a world premiere vocal setting of his famous letter to “The Immortal Beloved” from 1812 by Robert Chumbley. Beethoven expresses himself both through his music and through the heartfelt text sent to the mysterious, unnamed addressee of this letter in a concert sure to further illumine Beethoven as an artist and as a human being.
