Thursday night at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “Illinois Classical” you’ll hear a program new to our schedule coming to us from the Heifetz International Music Institute in Staunton (STAN-tun), VA called “Heifetz On Air”. Tonight’s program features music by Nordic composers.

Sunday night February 9 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 you’ll hear Grieg’s “Holberg Suite” and Neilsen’s “Quintet for Winds” on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 7:00 you’ll hear a program of music by Robert Xavier Rodriguez on “Fiesta”.

Tuesday night January 7 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Grieg’s Piano Concerto with soloist Simon Trpčeski. Xian Zhang (Shen Zhong) guest conducts. Also on the program Prokofiev’s “6th Symphony” and Nokuthula Ngwenyama’s “Primal Message”.

Sinfonia da Camera once again opens its concert season by featuring the high school and college winners of its 2017 Student Concerto Competition.
